Today is a celebration. Four-yr-old Hope has finally learned not to wipe her muddy paw prints all over herself.
Now we’ve just got to tackle the beast of mud graffiti that she left all over the wall. (And no she isn’t flipping me off, she’s just shaking dry her hands after she washed the mud off.)

Well, that's an accomplishment! I need to learn how to teach my kids to leave their muddy shoes in the mud room! Any tips on that?

Oh, Fawndear, I don't know what I would do. That is too hilarious. Congratulate Hope from us that she isn't wiping it on herself anymore. What does she do when you make her clean it off? HOPEfully this new behavior won't last long. Good luck keeping the walls clean.

Oh, my. So far all my muddy walls are on the Outside of the house. But, I have yet to accomplish getting them to NOT dump their sandy boots inside!!
Am I sensing a theme here? No use fighting it, you've got a natural-born muralist. Your best hope is to teach her to use her powers for good and not evil.

Well I guess mud is a step in the right direction from the markers. At least it's easier to clean up. I've been find crayon on the walls all throughout our house. Kids can't help but want to paint on a giant blank canvas. Have you thought about putting in chair rails and paint chalk paint underneath.

Well, it's a start. :-D I actually like her mural... it looks like a rabbit cocking it's head in the back... maybe Hope should take art lessons :-D.
