Thankful for Our Veterans!

It seems like Veteran's day is another of those forgotten holidays. You know the holiday that has turned into more of a day for shopping sales or taking a day off work to play.

So I was talking with my kids last night about Veteran's Day and asking them how we should celebrate our veterans. A couple of my teenagers suggested we rent 'Call of Duty' for Wii and play it. I immediately shot that idea out of the air. No war playing games today! Ya think I would have taught my boys better by now. Guess I still have some work to do.

Instead I showed them this...

So a big Thanks to our Veteran's Today and Every Day!

Hear, hear! We need to take the time to remember what the Holiday was established to commemorate, and not just take it for granted as a day off work and/or school. Thanks for the reminder!

Thank you for the reminder to not forget. As a Mom, it was a regular day for me, and I will not forget from now on to honor those who sacrifice for our freedom. Thanks for sharing the video clip. I will teach my kids about all those brave men and women and give them the honor they deserve and that I am very grateful for. I think we sometimes forget to show gratitude. I will not take for granted and show an ungrateful, apathetic heart anymore. Thanks again.
