Cabin Fever

The weatherman told us that it would be warmer today. That it would start to thaw out the mountains of snow in our yard and off the road.

He lied didn't quite get the forecast right. It snowed some more today.

So what's a mom to do when she has a house full of a half dozen snow bored kids.

She sends herself outside and lets them drive their Daddy crazy stay inside.

Then she takes her frustration out on the snow. And shovels the walk, driveway starts another snowman.

Christmas-08 069

For reference - the Big Blue Beast behind Mr. Snowman is 6 foot 9.

As you can see he didn't get finished.

We'll have to wait and see if mom gets stir-crazy again tomorrow.

That's a lot of snow! We only did the snow two inches melt by afternoon thing this year. It was supposed to snow four inches one day and it didn't snow at all.

This kids get frustrated every time the snow melts because they want enought to sled in, naturally. Hubby thinks he wouldn't mind moving to somewhere that keeps feet of snow all winter long. I like where we live just fine.

That's good exercise! And a good way to work off frustrations.

Wow, and here I am in s.c. hoping for snow. I wish I could take some off of your hands and transport it where I'm at. While you all are stuck in the house, maybe you can do a project together. Like a puzzle, and art show or some type of arts & craft activity. Try to stay sane :) It won't last for long. Keep warm and maybe you and the kids can make some hot coco together and enjoy a nice movie. Hang in there.

I find snow can be quite fun until you need to go somewhere. We played and played in the Christmas snowstorm at Mom & Dad's, but I was VERY happy that it stopped in time for the roads to (mostly) clear before I had to get on the Interstate.
