On the Second Day of Christmas...

We got our first snowfall of the season last night. Love the sparkly white on evergreen. Couldn't resist running outdoors to grab myself a handful to eat, right along with the kids. And yes I checked to make sure it was clean. Snapped this picture right before sunrise this morning.

Normally snow doesn't last long here. Maybe one or two days at the most. But our weather has taken a turn on the nippy side and they think it may last a week. I'm fine with it as long as I view it from inside the house.

Our clever Elf made a return visit this evening. My kids were as excited as all get-up with our treats tonight.

Evo-man was taking out the garbage and swore that the package wasn't on the doorstep when he left the house. Somehow it magically appeared there before he made it back inside. Our Christmas Elf must have some magical abilities.

So here are the goodies...

And the sweet poem, which not only appears on a darling tag, but also seems to be tailored directly to our Gigantic family.

Tonight we have turtles and doves coming your way.
So eat all the chocolate quickly don't delay. (Does this elf know what sugar can do to my kids? It's o.k. though I forgive him/her)
Because in your family you have quite a few, "Good news".
We left on your doorstep more than just two! Thank you elf or it would have been a war.

This glad Christmas season is so full of fun.
We are happy to share with your family, then quickly run.
How grateful we are that you are playing our game.
You'll find that now Chrismtas just won't be the same!

So our family downed the package in about 3 minutes. Wasn't too hard. Then after the kiddo's were all hyped up on the candy the kids took their turtles and proceeded to use them as squirt toys. Normally with would irk me to no end but since our Special Christmas Friend brought the treats we enjoyed every bit of it. Plus, after the water fight, my floors got a free mopping, which they desperately needed.

So Chocolate, Family Fun and Clean Floors, What more could I ask for right? Wow, I've had two great days in a row. I could get used to this.

That's so sweet, I've never heard of doing it repeatedly. Or at Christmas. Around here, we get "spooked" before Halloween.

That's so fun :-) I'm going to have to hang on to this idea...

Glad you are having a good couple of days. I hope things keep looking up.

How fun! I love it when people do the 12 days of Christmas. We've never had it done for us... but maybe next year we can do it for someone else!
Enjoy!
